The IT Supervisor – Apps & Business Intelligence leads TEEP Barnett’s Apps & BI team to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable business applications and analytics that enable operational excellence. The role combines advanced business analysis, project management, and people leadership to steer the applications portfolio, govern data and BI assets, drive cloud adoption, and translate strategic objectives into actionable solutions. Acting as the primary liaison between IT and business units, this leader ensures that technology investments produce measurable business value while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and vendor performance.
Activités Leadership & Team Management
:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Apps & BI team; provide direct supervision to the BI Analyst and Sr. DBA.
- Establish strategic direction and annual roadmaps for applications and BI initiatives aligned to company objectives.
- Cultivate a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture.
- Drive discovery: facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design for cross-functional needs.
- Plan and manage project delivery (scope, schedule, budget, risks, communications, documentation).
- Coordinate with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure outcomes match business value targets.
- Oversee design, development, and deployment of reports, dashboards, and portals for all management levels.
- Guide data modeling, analytics frameworks, and visualization standards leveraging SQL and Power BI (or equivalent).
- Enforce data quality, lineage, governance, and security controls across BI assets and pipelines.
- Own the application portfolio, including configuration, performance, and support strategy.
- Lead upgrades, migrations, integrations, and modernization programs
- Maintain architecture, integrations, and workflow documentation.
- Advance cloud adoption and integration patterns for scalability, reliability, and security.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and business units for application/BI needs.
- Facilitate solution evaluation, implementation planning, change management, and user adoption.
- Provide proactive customer service, setting and managing expectations.
- Build and manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality delivery and support.
- Oversee contracts, SLAs, renewals, and vendor project deliverables.
- Coordinate external resources for upgrades, integrations, and customizations.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, data governance standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor access controls, audit trails, and security protocols across systems and BI assets.
- Track application and BI performance, usage, and satisfaction; drive backlog and enhancement cycles.
- Identify and implement process automation and workflow optimizations.
- Manage the full application lifecycle from requirements through retirement.
- Translate executive strategies into proofs-of-concept and pilot solutions that accelerate operational performance.
- Present opportunities to IT Governance and drive adoption of innovative BI and application capabilities.
- Maintain current expertise in analytics, BI, cloud, and upstream oil & gas operations
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 5–7 years in business analysis, information systems design/development, and enterprise-scale project management.
- 3–5 years building BI dashboards and integrating diverse data sources (Power BI or equivalent required).
- Experience with enterprise grade data intelligence, warehouse and virtualization platforms is a definitive plus.
- Demonstrated success in application lifecycle management and cloud architectures.
- Vendor and customer relationship management, including contract negotiation and SLA oversight.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong SQL scripting and data modeling; experience with business process modeling is a plus.
- Expertise with BI tools, visualization best practices, and analytics frameworks.
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM/HRIS/Finance systems, integrations, and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication with both business and technical audiences.
