IT Enterprise Solution Lead (Product Owner – Enterprise Asset Management)

Position Highlights
SAP Product Owner serve as the voice of the customer to guide development teams in building software capabilities with
the highest business and customer impact. They represent business needs and priorities, prioritize and manage the product
backlog, and incorporate feedback from business stakeholders to guide continuous product improvement within a DEV/
OPS context. This position relates to SAP’s Digital Supply Chain Management solution. As such, candidates will be
expected to bring extensive capabilities and a track record of success related to Work and Asset Management modules.
What you'll do
•Working within the Enterprise Solution and Analytics team of the Technology Group, manages the operations and
evolution of the SAP Work and Asset Management (EAM) within SAP’s Digital SCM suite of solutions.
•Provides expert-level advice to BC Hydro in regards to features and capabilities of the SAP EAM/SCM solutions and
closely integrated components.
•Ensures and maintains the operational integrity of the SAP EAM solutions.
•Works across BC Hydro to support operations, project development and execution.
•Accountable for implementation and adoption of BCH standards, processes, methodologies and tools in support of
operations and project and portfolio management.
•Act as the voice of the customer to guide all stages of software development, including user story development, sprint
planning, and prioritization of the product backlog, and delivery oversight.
•Work with business and technical stakeholders to develop and document user stories.
•Run “fit to standard workshops” and configure the system based on the leading practices.
•Participate in sprint planning to determine the team’s objectives for the upcoming sprint.
•Prioritize and maintain the product backlog.
•Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, story refinements, and team retrospectives; ensure the team has a
clear understanding of priorities and next steps.
•Lead the sprint review meeting to present the output from the sprint to key stakeholders.
•Analyze feedback from sprint reviews, and other data such as end user feedback and operational metrics, to identify and
understand product needs.
•Work with the development team to create acceptance criteria and definitions of failures.
•Assist the team on the development of feature tests, test cases, and regression tests.
•Work with the team as needed to introduce the features into production.
•Set expectations with business stakeholders for delivery of new capabilities, features, and functionalities.
•Commit to a continual research and evaluation of market developments in innovation, new technology and trends in the
industry.
•Build and maintain a strong relationship with other product owners or program managers across the enterprise.
Skills and Competencies
•Expert knowledge of the SAP Enterprise Asset Management.
•Good knowledge of the mobility tools like SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) and SAP Field Service Manager
(FSM).
•Expert knowledge of SAP EAM in S4HANA.
•Expert knowledge in integration of SAP EAM, with MM, FI, PM, HR and EHSM modules.
•Experience building EAM product strategies and roadmaps to meet the organization strategic objectives.
•Ability to understand complex business problems, identify and interpret business needs and identify suitable technology
solutions that align with the industry leading practices.
•Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies.
•Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders
verbally and in writing.
•Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
•Knowledge of agile planning tools (e.g. JIRA) preferred.
What you bring
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent years of experience).
•10+ years of relevant work experience in SAP Plant Maintenance/Enterprise Asset Management implementation and
Support programs.
•Experience in SSAM and FSM is preferred.
•SAP EAM certification is a plus.
•Background in utilities industry and SAP cloud solutions is preferred.
Important Notes:
•Resource will typically work 2 day in the Burnaby Edmonds office and other days remotely (subject to change at BC Hydro
discretion).
•Candidate must either live in or relocate to the Greater Vancouver Area. Remote employment will be not be considered.
