Irrigation Technician

Your application will only be reviewed if you have at least 2 years of experience in irrigation, reclaimed water, water meter installation, plumbing, pipe fitting or HVAC.

- Travel is required on project completion.

Overview:

HST Utility is seeking skilled professionals to join our team. As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to identifying where the potable domestic feed line ties into the IRR & backflow, the capping of that connection, removal of the backflow & installation of a reclaimed water meter & yolk to the currently ran IRR line. This is a hands-on production role that requires technical skills & the ability to work in various environments.

Requirements:

- Must have 2 years of experience.

- Must be proficient in irrigation, plumbing, pipe fitting & water meter installation.

- Must have a valid Driver's License & insured reliable vehicle to use in the course of your work.

- Must be willing & available to travel

- OSHA 30

- 1st Aid, CPR & AED

Responsibilities:

- Complete potable cap off, IRR to reclaimed & water meter installations.

- Meter programming, including troubleshooting & diagnosing installation issues.

- Perform locating meters & schedule commercial appointments

- Utilize hand & power tools to complete assigned tasks

- Able to safely dig out the pit to access the meter & flanges.

- Conduct field service visits to client locations for meter installation, survey or repair

- Adhere to all safety protocols & guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

- Experience in water meter installation, plumbing, pipe fitting, HVAC or irrigation.

- Proficient in the installation of water meters 5/8" to 2" in size.

- Familiarity with shut off valves, water meter installation procedures & identifying preexisting issues to avoid.

- Must be able to dig out the pits.

- Proficient in using hand & power tools

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Excellent problem-solving skills & attention to detail

- Valid driver's license & auto insurance
