Must have done, Iron Pipe Level certification 1, 2 or 3. Experience rebuilding 2X2 plug valves.
They carry out detailed inspections, analyze test results, and enforce adherence to regulatory standards.
Their main duties and responsibilities include:
•Carrying out inspections of piping systems and components to identify any defects or deviations
•Ensuring all piping works are installed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and local regulations
•Conducting tests such as pressure tests, radiographic tests, and ultrasonic tests to validate the integrity and functionality of piping systems
•Recording and maintaining accurate inspection records, logs and reports
•Collaborating with project teams and contractors to address and rectify identified quality issues
•Keeping up to date with industry standards, regulations and best practices
•Providing training and guidance to junior inspectors and other personnel on quality control procedures and standards
•Assisting in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and policies
•Responsible for assembly, repair and testing of various control valves, including but not limited to 7/10, 7/15, 7/5. 5/15 gate valves and hydraulic valves, safety relief valves, etc.
•Mainly working on 1502 2” and 3” plug valves and bonnets.
•Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly and testing of valves.
•Follow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control standards that apply to the job.
•Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
•Ensure proper documentation is completed throughout the valve repair process
•Communicate timely updates to management and co-workers to ensure timely and successful completion of job responsibilities.
•Work closely with co-workers, management and Safety to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations are strictly adhered.
