Dorsey has an opening for an Inventory Control Manager in Elba, Alabama. This role is critical to our manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient warehouse management to support our continued growth.
- Supervise the warehouse group, inventory count group and jobs processing group
- Team Leadership: Supervise the warehouse group, inventory count group, and jobs processing group
- Inventory Accuracy: Report all material inventory discrepancies to management and identify ways to eliminate or reduce discrepancies
- System Management: Utilize computerized inventory software to record, track, and maintain all inventory-related data
- Process Improvement: Aid in the implementation of inventory tracking systems for optimized inventory control procedures
- Supply Management: Monitor levels of raw materials and supplies to identify and prevent shortages
- Reporting: Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels
- Staff Development: Hire and train new employees as needed
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 Years of inventory manager experience
- Experience with implementing barcode scanning
- Exhibits ability to interpret and explain inventory control issues
- Demonstrates proficiency in the use of inventory software
- Possesses specific knowledge of the company's range of products and services
- Pays close attention to detail
- Able to communication efficiently
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills
- Exhibits ability to think creatively in order to devise best inventory control practices
- Able to work independently and with a team
