JOB SUMMARY
The inventory clerk will manage inventory of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The inventory clerk will complete cycle counts, reports, and management the inventory system.
REPORTING TO
Production Control Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
•Transact inventory movements in Visual ERP, daily.
•Compile and maintain records of quantity and type for all inventory.
•Perform inventory cycle counts as required.
•Maintain all part locations in the database.
•Place tags and labels on the inventory stock and at their storage location.
•Research, reconcile, and transact any discrepancies.
•Ensure material records are completed for parts leaving inventory as needed.
•Prepare inventory balance report as needed.
•Perform assembly operations as needed.
•Perform shipping and receiving operations as needed.
•Train and provide work directions.
•Meet all production schedules.
•Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly condition in the warehouse and production areas, consistent with 5S guidelines.
•Communicate with the Production Control Manager to ensure employees and resources are being fully utilized.
•Develop records regarding any production issues that may occur. Consequently, communicate these issues to the Production Control Manager.
•Maintain employee relations.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
•Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
•Excellent working knowledge of inventory management programs
•Good verbal and communication skills.
•Record keeping techniques.
•Health and safety regulations.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
•2 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
•3 years’ experience in an ERP and Microsoft Excel system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•May require lifting to 40 lbs.
