The Tallgrass Procurement Team plays a critical role in securing materials and services essential for the company’s production and daily operations. The team manages contractor agreements, evaluates pricing to ensure optimal value, and guarantees compliance with company policies and industry best practices. Leveraging advanced analytics and digital tools, the team drives efficiency, transparency, and strategic sourcing to support Tallgrass’s growth and sustainability goals.
- Support end-to-end procurement functions with a strong emphasis on data analytics and insights to inform decision-making.
- Continuously review, streamline, and optimize procurement workflows and internal processes using automation and digital solutions.
- Assist in processing and prioritizing requests from internal stakeholders with agility and accuracy.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Conduct rigorous data quality reviews of third-party deliverables to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of procurement policies, processes, and procedures aligned with evolving business needs.
- Manage vendor documentation through systematic cataloging and archiving, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance.

Student actively enrolled in a degreed program and attending classes related to Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management with expected graduation date of December 2025- May 2028
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
- Intermediate skills in Adobe Acrobat and PDF editing tools.
- Familiarity or willingness to learn procurement software platforms, data visualization tools, and digital collaboration technologies.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI (a plus).
Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person Houston office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.
