The Project Management department manages all the capital projects for Tallgrass including natural gas, hydrogen and ammonia transportation, and CO2 sequestration.
The selected candidate will work in the Tallgrass Project Management department in Houston, Texas. The intern’s main responsibility will be to support the Environmental Manager in the day-to-day running of a major project. You will become part of the project management team of a project.
- Supporting the department's effort to permit large projects in the US by creating tracking sheets of the required permits and consents, collecting and archiving data from previous projects.
- Developing presentations and reports to manage progress in permitting projects.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and ad Hoc tasks as requested by the Environmental Regulatory Manager.
The intern will learn the basic tasks of running a large capital project and be exposed to the decision-making processes of environmental and regulatory programs.
Students actively enrolled in an approved bachelor’s or master’s Environmental Science program with expected graduation date of December 2025- May 2028.

Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Houston office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.
- Pay Range $23.22-$31.01 USD hourly
- You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize housing costs.
