Intern - Employee Health and Safety

Position can be full or part time, based on Interns class schedule. Candidate must show proof of medical insurance or be limited to under 25 hours per week.

Position Overview

Assists with the corporate-wide risk management program. Helps ensure government and company compliance and assists with the development and implementation of job-specific plans. Coordinates inspections with internal and external representatives and assists with the claims process.

Essential Job Functions

Field/Management Support

Risk and Claims Management

• Assists with coordination with insurance carriers on coverage and claim issues. • Assists Site Safety Manager in the review of scopes of the work to ensure all possible areas of potential loss are addressed.

Requirements

Working toward bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Safety or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

They must be organized, have excellent communication skills, and possess an understanding of preventive maintenance techniques
