Intermediate Mechanical Designer
HD is currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Designer.
Qualifications:
•Diploma in Mechanical and/or CAD/CAM Engineering Technology
•5-10 years of experience
•Proficient in Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D and 3D, and applicable CAD design software
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Strong organizational and project planning skills
•People oriented with an ability to establish relationships, credibility, and trust
The following experience is considered an asset:
•A.Sc.T. or C.Tech designation
•Safety certifications and training
•Industrial and on-site experience
•Mobile equipment, heavy industrial equipment, or mining equipment
•Fabrication experience and machine design
As an Intermediate Mechanical Designer your responsibilities will include:
•Mechanical drafting, 3D modeling, simulation and analysis
•Drafting reviews and checking documents
•Creating other documentation as per project requirements
•Field checking and verification at various shops or clients’ facilities
•Equipment, fabrication inspection, and commissioning
•Develop improvements in design standards
•Establishing client relationships and delivery of projects
•Project coordination duties such as tracking and reporting
•Contributing to project reports, in collaboration with project team members
•Holding team members accountable for their actions and individual responsibilities
•Maintaining project schedules and budgets, staying aware of project progress
•Work at client mine sites and other client facilities
•Other tasks as required to meet our clients and operational requirements
