The Instrumentation Trainer administers, develops, maintains, facilitates, and manages craft-specific maintenance training and learning programs within area of expertise and experience. This position partners closely with new and existing technicians as well as leadership. The Maintenance Trainer employs personal craft-specific background and field experience to identify training needs and craft-specific competencies in alignment and with the collaboration of maintenance leadership to develop training programs designed to increase technical knowledge and skills. This position is responsible for the analysis, design, development, delivery and evaluation of craft-specific training within the Trainer’s expertise.
This position will be based at the Terminal Facility, LQF or PTF, with travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Facilitate craft-specific training courses within area of expertise
• Evaluate employees based upon various performance metrics and skill assessments and determines if additional training is necessary and conducts training as needed
• Identify maintenance craft-specific competencies to drive training program development
• Serve as subject matter expert for applicable maintenance craft within area of expertise
• Develop and maintain craft-specific training curriculum and program based on training needs
• Deploy evaluations and assessments to measure training solutions’ effectiveness, retention, application, and impact on the business
• Investigate and recommend appropriate learning tools to increase learner engagement and retention, training effectiveness, and business value
• Coordinate applicable maintenance craft’s training including, invites, agendas, room configuration, training schedules, reports, documentation, class attendance, training recaps, and all other necessary training communication
• Coordinate internal and external resources in regard to planning, developing, and delivering training to a designated location/property
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure necessary training solutions are identified and facilitated to build knowledge, skills, and technical competencies

• Possess strong ethical standards regarding the handling of confidential information
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internal databases
• Associates Degree or higher with preference for craft-specific discipline
• Three years or greater of experience in assessing talent, skills and attributes as well as designing, developing, documenting and coordinating training programs in an industrial environment
• Ten plus years of technical related training experience
• Ability to become familiar with Freeport LNG specific regulations
• Proficient use of computers, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to groups of employees, speak interpersonally with individuals, report to management and meet with vendors
• Be a critical thinker in order to develop or assess materials which help employees understand appropriate subject matter
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a team environment
• Must be able to interface with and influence the all employees including site leadership
• Must possess and demonstrate excellent skills in presentation, facilitation, oration, and teaching in a group environment
• Support the policies, efforts, and programs of Freeport LNG Health, Safety and Environmental Management System

• Ensure HSSE concerns have priority in all activities completed within the training arena
• Highest priority is to class participants’ and personal safety
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility
• Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions
• Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift
• Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions
• Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions
• Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes
• Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy weather conditions
• Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits
• May be required to enter confined spaces
• Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC), or the ability to obtain before the first day of employment
