Job Description:

An Instrumentation and Controls Engineer position focused on designing and implementing control systems for industrial and commercial facilities, developing technical solutions while working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver state-of-the-art automation and process control systems.

Responsibilities:

- Generate comprehensive I&C design packages including P&IDs, I/O lists, and wiring diagrams

- Design electrical circuits and control panels using industry-standard applications

- Develop and optimize process control and automation systems

- Provide technical support during system startup and commissioning

- Coordinate with team members and discipline leads

- Review vendor submittals and ensure compliance with specifications

- Support field activities and interact with construction personnel

- Participate in system optimization and process improvements

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

- Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering

- 2+ years experience generating I&C design deliverables

- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and controls applications

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

- EIT certification or PE license

- Experience with semiconductor fabrication facilities

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks

- Knowledge of UL 508A standards

- Experience with Siemens PLC systems

- Field experience with contractors and construction personnel

- Ability to work effectively in team environments

- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning

Job Details:

Location: Boise, ID

Pay: $32-$50/hr
