Plans layout, fabricates, assembles, installs and repairs instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, including primary piping and tubing.
- Read loop sheets, P&ID's, and blueprints
- Work to disassemble and remove instruments and then reinstall
- Perform tube bending; tube bending in groups; install instrument stands, instrument air headers, instruments, tube tray; screw pipe; deco trace; steam tracking
- Instrument Fitter: 2 - 4 years (Required)
- Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help
- Frequent movement to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Ability to operate job related tools
- Significant and sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.
- Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision.
- Ability to work in hot/cold environments
