● Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License in good standing ● Stable active work history in the electrical trade ● Safe work history ● Comfortable working on various buildings and structures, carrying up to 50lbs at all heights and working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions. ● Reliable transportation, a current driver’s license and clean driving history ● Proficient working with smart phones, tablets and computers
- The Inspection Specialist holds a State of Massachusetts Journeyman license, which is in good standing with the MA Board of State Examiners of Electricians, and is responsible for meeting town electrical inspectors during and at the conclusion of installations.
- Must maintain an active driver’s license and practice conscientious, safe driving in company vehicles, and represent PV Squared positively. Maintain an active DOT physical card. Must be insurable by the company's auto insurance policy.
- Must be OSHA 10 Certified.
- Work outdoors, year-round, in all weather conditions.
- They report directly to the Installation Team Manager.
- This is an hourly-based, full-time position on the Installation Team.
- Cross-training and work outside of core work responsibilities may be necessary to support the operational needs of the cooperative.
- Very comfortable with referencing and implementing the National Electric Code.
- Act as company liaison with town electrical inspectors regarding work as needed.
- Follow up with inspectors to close out work orders and permits
- Coordinate rough and final electrical, building, and fire inspections as needed for project close-out.
- Attend on-site inspections (rough and final as needed) with AHJ inspectors.
- Able to troubleshoot and navigate basic to complex/large electrical systems.
- Prepared to close out punchlist items, including commissioning, grounding, stickers, photos, and electrical/communications troubleshooting as needed.
- Adherence to all PV Squared Policies & Procedures
- Comfortable communicating in all PV Squared Software and Systems, including:
- Google Suite including: Drive / Sheets / Docs / Calendar / Meet
- Slack - proficient in
- Email - proficient in
- Scoop (experience with any Solar CRM & Project Management software helpful, will train)
- Workforce timekeeping
- SolarEdge Go App
- other product-specific software
- Training & Meetings:
- Participate in the weekly crew meetings and trainings
- Electrical NEC classes for maintaining or furthering electrical license
