is the leading supplier of Specialty Tools & Equipment for the Power Utility Market with a strong focus of products for the Powerline trade. We are seeking a Inside Sales Representative to join our fast-growing Mississauga office.
- The Inside Sales Representative is Customer Service focused: the role interacts directly with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about pricing, products/services, process orders, and customer service requests. This role focuses on proactively finding and acquiring new business without relying on data entry, but rather on prospecting and closing new clients remotely using phone, email, and online channels.
- This is not a scripted sales role – our sales team is engaged directly with the end user.
- Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email and in-person.
- Creation of Sales Orders Order Acknowledgements.
- Sales quoting/pricing/product sourcing/substitution responsibilities.
- Sales Order and Purchase Order expediting.
- Productivity reporting.
- Diligent follow-up on outstanding quotes.
- Communicating with customers and vendors.
- End user training, product knowledge transfer.
- Product inventory responsibilities.
- Must have strong organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize/multi-task.
- Accurate and fast keyboarding skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, P21 or equivalent ERP an asset.
- Professional telephone manner, communications skills. Outgoing personality is a plus.
- Ability to pinpoint and upgrade customer requirements as needed and when appropriate.
- Strong customer-care focus; understanding customer needs and requirements.
- Ability to make and assist in implementation of suggestions for improvement regarding internal processes and procedures.
- Enjoys working with people.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills; people oriented.
- Experience in the Power Utility or Electrical Wholesale market is a preferred asset but not mandatory.
- While formal education can be important, so is relevant work experience. Previous roles in the trade or in service to this trade are just as valuable.
