Inside Sales Coordinator

VASS Pipe & Steel Co., Inc. is one of North America's largest distributors of steel pipe operating out of Houston, Texas. We primarily serve the Oil, Gas, and Energy industries and have been in business for over 45 years. We are currently seeking motivated and dedicated individuals who will join our New York corporate office (Mineola, Long Island) in a Inside Sales Coordinator capacity. VASS is continuing to grow and we are excited to welcome new team members to this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

* Fulfill multiple sensitive documentation requests from clients worldwide, warehouses, inspectors, and various other parties in the supply chain

* Communicate via email and phone with sales personnel in all three VASS locations, warehouses, trucklines, vendors, steel mills regarding a variety of requisitions

* Work closely with Shipping/Logistics Department to ensure proper documentation is scanned and sent to customer

* Provide information by answering questions and requests from sales personnel, warehouses, and customers

* Entering in various types of critical computer data, verifying product on inventory management system

* Document shipments by recording/identifying details on products and trucking (Bill of Lading etc.)

*Assist purchasing department in the creation of purchase orders

*Ready and willing to assist in other departments of the company - be willing to contribute to overall company objectives/goals. Contributing to various sectors of the company's supply chain management.

*Note that this is a full-time in-office position

Qualifications:

* Must have excellent communication skills

* Computer Proficient (MS Office, Windows, etc.)

*Must be able to type at least +/- 50 WPM (Words Per Minute)

*Minimum 5 to 7 years office work experience preferred

* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high volume environment

* Must have a pleasant phone manner and a kind, professional workplace demeanor

* Solid basic math skills

* Excellent problem solving, time management, and organization skills

* Experienced candidates preferred but willing to train entry level candidates with the right character set

Hours: Monday thru Friday 830AM-530PM or 9AM-6PM [1 Hour lunch]

TOTAL PAY PACKAGE - Range $65,000 - $75,000 annually experience and skills dependent
