Job Description:
The Infrastructure Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and ensuring the availability of the company's IT infrastructure. This includes servers, storage systems, and cloud services. They will work under the guidance of the IT Manager to support business operations by ensuring reliable and secure infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities:
•Infrastructure Management:
•Maintain and manage physical and virtual servers.
•Oversee storage systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
•Implement and manage cloud services.
•System Monitoring and Maintenance:
•Monitor infrastructure performance and implement necessary improvements.
•Perform regular system updates and patches.
•Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure, implementing necessary security measures.
•Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
•Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
•Ensure regular backups and data recovery processes are in place and tested.
•Support and Troubleshooting:
•Provide second-level support for infrastructure-related issues.
•Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure problems.
•Maintain accurate and detailed infrastructure documentation.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
•Strong understanding of server and storage systems.
•Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
•Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
•Experience with infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
•Knowledge of network protocols and services.
•Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
•Experience with security best practices and tools.
•Experience with compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
•Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Required Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Server+).
Required Experience:
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
•Proven experience with server and storage systems.
•Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
•Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
•Strong background in implementing and managing IT security measures.
