As an Informational Technology Cybersecurity Co-Op/Intern you will gain hands-on experience across multiple cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance domains. This role is designed for students passionate about protecting digital assets, understanding cyber threats, and contributing to a secure enterprise environment.
Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week.
In your role, you may rotate or contribute to projects in the following areas:
+ Assist in monitoring security alerts and incidents. + Support incident response activities and documentation. + Help maintain and improve security tools and dashboards.
+ Participate in evaluating and testing security tools and technologies. + Assist in secure configuration reviews and vulnerability assessments. + Contribute to automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
+ Support risk assessments and compliance audits (e.g., ISO, NIST, SOC 2). + Help document policies, standards, and procedures. + Assist in third-party risk management and control evaluations. + Participate in Cybersecurity Security Awareness activities.
+ Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports. + Support insider risk investigations and behavioral analytics. + Help maintain threat intelligence platforms and data feeds.
+ Support vulnerability identification using deployed vulnerability scanning tools + Research and assist with prioritization of recommendations for remediation of findings + Support vulnerability management workflow through ensuring that vulnerability items are assigned to the correct remediation teams and validating that items are properly closed once remediation is verified as being completed.
