We seek a dedicated and professional Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to lead all aspects of our 24/7 metals precipitation and biological treatment wastewater system in Ellabell, GA. This role is crucial in ensuring our treatment plant follows the state-issued indirect discharge permit guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
•Operational Oversight: Manage and control equipment and processes that remove harmful materials and chemicals from wastewater.
•Monitoring and Reporting: Keep detailed water quality records and other key indicators. Report any operational concerns or project needs to the Site Supervisor.
•Maintenance: Operate and maintain pumps, motors, and other equipment. Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance.
•Quality Control: Take samples and conduct analytical tests to ensure water quality. Adjust chemical levels as needed.
•System Monitoring: Use computerized systems to supervise plant processes. Read instruments, meters, and gauges to ensure meticulous equipment function.
•Emergency Planning: Develop and implement emergency reaction protocols.
•Compliance Documentation: Maintain records to document compliance with all regulations.
•Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization per 5S Standards.
Shift Details:
•Work Schedule: 48 hours in week one, 36 hours in week two. Overtime may be required to support production.
Qualifications:
•Licensing: The state of Georgia-issued wastewater license is required.
•Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience with the treatment of wastewater in industrial or municipal environment.
•Skills: High professionalism, ability to make informed decisions, and mechanical proficiency.
•Availability: Must be able to work independently and be available for overtime, including weekends.
•Dependability: Must be reliable and punctual.
