Level I-III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator
The Level I-III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is responsible for the daily maintenance and on-site repairs of the Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) and the ancillary equipment comprising the on-site Wastewater Treatment System (WWTS). The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator must ensure the equipment and services are provided at a high level of quality and safety.
The Operator also is responsible for ensuring all work activities are carried out in a safe manner through adhering to all applicable safety policies and guidelines. Finally, the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator is to conduct their role in a manner to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
This position with be a two week on, two week off position. You will be based out of a remote camp for your two weeks on. All travel and accommodations for the remote work will be provided by the company for this position.
Reporting
•Reports directly to the “General Manager” of Remote Waste or as otherwise directed.
General Duties
•To deal with Clients and all personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
•Ensuring that all maintenance of WWTP and ancillary equipment is set-up, torn down and maintained as per the specifications and procedures outlined in the WWTP operating manuals and in-line with best practices developed through continuous improvement
•Responsible to record all job site information including job location, equipment and materials used, repairs performed, repairs required and overall description of work performed on the appropriate forms and to ensure these forms are returned to head office within 48 hours (by email/text as appropriate).
•Responsible for ensuring time spent on all activities is tracked and timesheets are submitted to the office when required.
•To ensure camp personnel are trained in the appropriate use of the WWTP and to provide or post related documents at work site.
•To ensure company services and equipment are provided at a high level of quality
•Keeping all WWTP equipment clean and organized
•Collecting wastewater samples and operating parameters from WWTP using the proper procedures when requested to do so.
•Supervising your helper(s) if and where applicable through providing positive and clear direction in terms of policies, procedures, and employee performance.
•Identifying areas for improvement related to processes and procedures for the operation and installation of all equipment and support services
•Responsible for adherence to ALL safety programs as the SAFETY MANUAL reflects as well as all safety requirements when/while onsite at all client facilities.
•Responsible to be available for work and engage in work activities at all times when designated and “fit for Duty”
•Perform any other roles or duties as assigned.
