Electrician Mechanic
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Maintains electrical systems by providing power and equipment for the plant.
JOB DUTIES
•Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
•Follows all electronic codes, manuals, diagrams, blue prints and other specifications, while using hand tools, power tools, test and electrical equipment.
•Makes routine inspections of machinery and equipment to assess the operating condition; repairs and orders replacements for broken parts.
•Connects and repairs power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, diagrams and blue prints, using hand tools and test equipment.
•Performs all maintenance functions related with electrical systems and power generation distribution in line with safety policies and procedures to guarantee smooth production.
•Test all assemblies, installations or repairs on electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.
•In charge of maintaining schedules and performing a switch of gear system and troubleshooting of power generation.
•Other miscellaneous duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English to present information, write reports, follow codes and procedures and respond to questions from Management.
•Must be able to read, analyze and interpret general electronic codes, manuals, diagrams, blue prints and technical procedures or governmental regulations.
•Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, test and electronic equipment.
•Must have interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organizational staff including integrity, motivation, resourcefulness, tact, problem solving ability and organizational skills.
•Must be able to work independently while also operating in a team environment.
•Must have a working knowledge of organization policies and practices.
WORK DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; climb stairs and ladders; shovel; talk and hear.
•The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to100 lbs.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
•Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, eye protection, hard toed safety boots, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other PPE.

•While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to dust/airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, heat and outside weather conditions.
•The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.
