Industrial Electrician

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician that will undertake the responsibility of maintaining the facilities as well as all the industrial manufacturing equipment at the facility. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly while observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and manufacturing equipment in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities:
•Reading and interpreting specifications and blueprints.
•Installing, servicing and repairing conduits, wiring and fixtures.
•Conducting electronic inspections and tests.
•Servicing motors and high voltage systems.
•Performing electrical work on environmental regulating systems, pumps, compressors, industrial lighting systems and control and breaker panels.
•Installing, maintaining and repairing heavy duty equipment and industrial communications systems.
•Cleaning circuit boards and contacts.
•Troubleshooting and repairing electrical components.
•Working with PLC and other automated control systems.
•Conducting preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance
•Conduct failure analysis
Industrial Electrician Skills
•Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams
•Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers
•Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems
•Use hand and power tools
•Complete work orders on time
•Create records of materials used
•Read and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and job plans
•Install wiring and electrical components and systems during the construction of new industrial plants
•Make upgrades to existing industrial electrical systems
•Maintain wiring and electrical components
•Diagnose and fix problems with components, wiring and equipment in industrial electrical systems
•Use large equipment and tools
•Lead teams of electricians and train apprentices
•Follow the National Electrical Code and ensure all systems are up to code
Installs, repairs, rebuilds, troubleshoots, diagnoses, tests, programs, connects, and performs other electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical work for the facility.
Essential Job Functions
•Use electrical measurement equipment and tools of the trade effectively.
•Install and repairs electrical wiring, controls, switches, transformers, storage masters, etc.
•Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
•Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester.
•Install electrical equipment: D.C. motors and generators, A.C. motors, generators and rectifiers, solenoids.
•Construction and installation of conduit and pipe, machines and equipment, light and power distribution.
•Perform general building maintenance: Substations (Secondary circuits), light and power circuits elevators, cranes, hoists, etc.
•Perform general machine and equipment maintenance: Control systems, venting, induction heating, machine tools, welding equipment, and electrical equipment.
•Construct and install, troubleshoot and repair of electronic equipment and controls
•Connect power supply wiring to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.
•Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
•Tests malfunctioning machinery using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with other workers, such as machine operator, maintenance technicians and department Manager to diagnose malfunction.
•Replaces faulty electrical components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices, using hand tools.
•Diagnoses, and replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, using electronic test equipment and hand tools.
•Replaces electric motors and rewires motors.

Required Qualification/ Skills
•Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a wide variety.
•Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
•Ability to diagnose the various power, function and control systems of production equipment.
•Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic electrical functions.
•Ability to think critically to analyze information and data to suggest alternative solutions to problems.
•Ability to troubleshoot equipment and mechanical processes to keep them running efficiently.
•Knowledge of basic computer software (i.e. - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
•Ability to read, interpret and understand directions.
•Must be a self-starter and work with limited supervision.
•Ability to make logical decisions and to know when to ask for assistance.
Educational and Experience Requirements
•Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
•High school diploma required. A two-year technical degree in electrical or related field highly preferred.
•Five to Eight years electrical maintenance experience required, industrial experience highly preferred.
•Two to four years of PLC experience required.
•Ability to read, interpret, and understand directions.
