Job Title: Industrial Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered equipment used throughout our industrial operations. Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and machinery to ensure operational efficiency.

- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair actions to minimize downtime.

- Disassemble and reassemble engines and equipment components as necessary.

- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex mechanical failures and faults.

- Collaborate with equipment operators to understand and address mechanical concerns.

- Order and install replacement parts as needed to maintain equipment reliability.

- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, adhering to company policies and industry standards.

- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines, regulations, and environmental standards in every task performed.

- Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics and assist in their training and development.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and techniques in diesel engine repair and maintenance.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED; technical certifications in diesel mechanics or related field preferred.

- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role, preferably in an industrial setting.

- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and mechanical systems.

- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment and components, and conduct repairs in sometimes physically demanding environments.
