IE Maintenance Supervisor

Ergon Inc. is looking for an IEC Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance/Engineering team in Jackson, MS.

The

IEC Maintenance Supervisor

provides direction and leadership to the Maintenance Department for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all IEC-related equipment, and provides assistance and support to the Assistant Maintenance Manager to achieve overall departmental and corporate goals.

Education And Experience Requirements

- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - 8 + years of experience in a maintenance-related environment

- Specialized technical training in the petrochemical industry is preferred

- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, SAP, and Access is preferred

- A valid driver's License is required

Duties And Responsibilities

- Implement continuous performance improvement by establishing and maintaining a supportive environment and adequate staffing, defining objectives, setting departmental and personnel goals, and creating strategies to accomplish them

- Specify, purchase, install, and maintain IEC-related equipment

- Generate departmental budgets, vacation schedules, contracts, call-out lists, and authorization for expenditure forms as required

- Monitor employee training to ensure adequate knowledge and proficiency of maintenance technicians

- Maintain adequate and cost-effective supply of spare parts for both critical and non-critical repairs

- Interpret and seek total compliance with all OSHA, state, and federal regulations regarding IEC activities

- Evaluate, hire, and supervise contractors as needed to fulfill departmental responsibilities

- Maintain and improve an effective preventive maintenance program to optimize system performance and reliability

- Participate in all aspects of miscellaneous projects and maintenance engineering as necessary to meet the needs of the Maintenance Department

- Complete OSHA 30 and Safety Trained Supervisor Training

- 50% travel required

- This role could be located in Flowood, MS, Vicksburg, MS, Ennis, TX, or Inman, SC
