We are looking for an I&C Engineer. This is a one-year, full-time contract.
- Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field. Provide Instrumentation and Controls design support to multidisciplinary teams on projects
- Applying and selecting measurement and control instruments
- Generating instruments RFQ, bid evaluation and purchase order requisitions
- Reviewing and marking up instrument and mechanical packages vendor drawings
- Working with Instrument Sizing and Calculation: Control Valve, Pressure Relief Valve,
- Flow Elements-Orifice, Vortex, Turbine
- Generating Instrument Installation details
- Generating I/O list, control narratives, shutdown keys
- Keep to agreed schedules and budgets for all deliverables
- Basic design/specification and detailed design of I & C including control narratives, C&E, panel layouts, loop drawings, and P&ID’s
- Proficient in programming DCS and PLC systems
- Create construction packages including scope of work and drawings and perform interdisciplinary reviews
- Able to liaison with Client’s during project meetings, HAZOPs, and adhere to Client standards
- Able to prepare work hour estimates for small to medium size projects
- Participate in project planning and execution
- Support to commission systems and perform FAT/SATs as required
- Ability to work alone, or lead teams of up to 5 people overseeing quality and able to mentor junior staff
- Can actively identify scope and manage MOC processes and variances
- Comply with all company procedures, engineering practices and other standards- 10+ years of instrument & controls experience is required

- Excellent organizational, communications, administrative and problem-solving skills
- Strong project development skills related to project DBM, EDS and PEP requirements
- Strong knowledge of process meters, valves, analyzers, sample conditioning systems, and other measurement devices, as well as variable speed pumps, and electrical design practices and philosophies
- Expert knowledge of control systems and implementation experience with Emerson DeltaV system
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication devices and methodologies
- Strong project execution skills including HAT, FAT, SIFT, SAT, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, Startup, and turnover requirements
- Experience in managing or working within an integrated project team with external vendors/contractors, and owner operator
- Highly effective relationship builder at all levels, internally and externally
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work in a flexible team environment
