Hydrovac Operator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks to safely excavate and expose underground utilities without damaging them. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.

Duties

- Operate hydrovac trucks to perform precise excavation tasks.

- Utilize backhoes, loaders, and dump trucks as needed for various projects.

- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute excavation projects efficiently.

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

- Follow safety protocols and regulations while on construction sites.

- Dig trenches and holes as required while ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding areas.

- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other operators regarding project progress.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment.

- Knowledge of safe digging practices and construction site protocols.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety.
