Hydrovac Operator (CDL Class A without Automatic Restriction)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining hydrovac equipment to safely excavate soil and debris. This is a hands-on role that requires experience in heavy equipment operation and commercial driving.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate hydrovac equipment to excavate soil and debris

- Follow project plans and blueprints to locate underground utilities

- Use hydrovac equipment to expose utilities for repairs or installations

- Operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and water trucks

- Perform routine maintenance on hydrovac equipment to ensure proper functioning

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times

- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers

- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately

Requirements:

- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with tanker endorsement

- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks

- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus

- Ability to read and interpret project plans and blueprints

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

- Physical stamina to work in outdoor environments and lift heavy objects as needed

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
