HVAC Technician

Job Description SKM Services is in search of an individual who manages a strong work ethic, desire to learn, ability to personally motivate, and a passion for serving customers in the commercial environment. This individual must have experience of 5+ years in the HVAC industry and be proficient in installing new and servicing existing Commercial and Industrial HVAC systems. This technician performs field activities associated with installation, diagnosing and repairing, maintenance and servicing of heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. The strong focus on customer care ensures the customer is afforded the best possible options and service at all times.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and repair of light commercial, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems

- Ductwork modification/installation

- Perform on-site planned maintenance, routine repairs, and start-ups after installation

- Use experience and technical skills with planned maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements

- Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction

- Conduct work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure safety measures are taken

Key job duties:

- Deliver outstanding service on every call with high customer satisfaction ratings.

- Demonstrate high proficiency in troubleshooting and installing Commercial and Industrial HVAC systems.

- Complete small projects on time and within budget.

- Actively seek ways to improve personal skills and workplace processes.

Minimum Requirements:

- 5+ years of proven service experience and strong communication skills

- Ohio Journeyman license or the ability to obtain one

- Industrial, commercial, and/or institutional HVAC/R experience

- Detailed understanding of Commercial HVAC/R technologies

- Valid, unencumbered US Driver’s license, US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status, Clean background check

- Possess basic HVAC/Refrigeration tools

- EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant License

- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems

- Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by customers

- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation

- Must be able to work safely, be reliable, efficient and interact well with others

- As a condition of employment, all employees must furnish and utilize a smart phone with internet capability and access for daily work related time keeping purposes.

- Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and/or weekends, as seasonal workload requires
