Sphere Mechanical Corp is seeking a motivated and reliable HVAC Sheet Metal Apprentice to join our team for our project located at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach Detachment, Norco. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry while working alongside skilled professionals. Compensation:
$21 - $25 hourly
Responsibilities:
•
Work alongside and support journeymen and foremen on job sites with tools, materials, and setup
•
Assist with the installation of HVAC systems on federal projects
•
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of rooftop units and interior HVAC components
•
Learn to operate a variety of hand and power tools used for HVAC installations
•
Assist with cleaning and replacing air ducts as part of system servicing
•
Follow instructions for picking up and delivering tools, materials, and supplies to and from job sites
•
Assist in completing preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and related equipment
Qualifications:
•
High school diploma or GED required
•
Minimum 6 months to 1 year of hands-on HVAC experience
•
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
•
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights or in tight spaces
•
EPA, Competent Person Fall Protection certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain)
•
Ability to travel to assigned projects
•
Successfully pass federal background check
