Role Description

A Plus Heating and Cooling, Inc., is a growing commercial-focused HVAC contractor based in Sterling Heights, Michigan. We aim to provide growth in the trades for skilled tradespeople who are looking for opportunity.

Currently, we are looking for an experienced service technician to assist on commercial and residential service and installations. Our jobs range from large commercial installations and construction to residential service and install. As a local company we value all of our technicians and treat each other like family.

At least 2 years HVAC service experience is a requirement. Service experience includes experience diagnosing and repairing equipment, ordering parts, quoting repairs using company-provided technology, troubleshooting. Experience with commercial systems and/or refrigeration equipment is a plus.

The Role & Responsibilities

•

Diagnose & repair commercial HVAC equipment according to safety requirements, company standards, and manufacturer specifications

•

Commercial HVAC Service (or refrigeration) experience is preferred, or residential servicing and diagnosing experience

•

Perform installations and work on commercial / residential projects in collaboration with team and/or in accordance with provided plans and specifications, with good workmanship

•

Travel to job sites in service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer

•

Utilize company-provided software to keep customers informed

•

Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (new system, service contracts, and additional services)

•

Other duties customary of HVAC service and installation technicians

•

Company provided Ipad for software use

Qualifications

•

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

•

High school diploma/GED/HVAC degree or equivalent field experience with certification from a technical/trade school

•

Technician must possess all basic tools necessary for job performance

•

Valid driver's license and a good driving record

•

Must be able to pass criminal background check

•

Be able to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces

•

Verbal and interpersonal communication skills

•

Ability to work independently in a team environment is required

•

Availability to work Monday through Saturday

•

Ability to work outdoors
