We are seeking a skilled HVAC Pipefitter to install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This role involves working with chilled water, hot water, steam, and gas lines that support boilers, chillers, rooftop units, and other mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of HVAC systems, blueprint reading, and welding or brazing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
•Install and fit piping systems for HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, VAV boxes, and cooling towers.
•Read and interpret HVAC mechanical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
•Measure, cut, thread, groove, weld, or braze pipe using hand and power tools.
•Install pipe hangers, supports, valves, and other controls in accordance with code and project requirements.
•Work with copper, carbon steel, stainless steel, and PVC piping systems.
•Pressure test and inspect piping systems for leaks or defects.
•Collaborate with HVAC technicians, sheet metal workers, and other trades.
•Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, as well as OSHA safety regulations.
•Maintain tools and equipment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
•3+ years of experience as a pipefitter in HVAC or mechanical systems.
•Proficient in brazing, soldering, and welding (TIG/MIG/Stick/Oxy-Acetylene).
•Ability to read blueprints, piping schematics, and HVAC plans.
•Knowledge of chilled water, hydronic, and steam systems.
•Familiarity with pipe materials such as copper, steel, and PEX.
•OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
•Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
