Midtown Systems is seeking to hire an HVAC Installer/Tinner. This Team Member will perform skilled, complex work in the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems in both residential and light commercial settings.
The primary role of this position will be to complete rough-in HVAC work on single-family, twin homes, townhomes, and apartment residences.
● Install floor and ceiling register boots and elbows.
● Connect heat runs and returns using a round pipe and flexible duct.
● Vent bathroom exhaust fans and dryer vents to the outdoors using sidewall, soffit, and roof vents.
● Run PVC to vent furnace exhaust and combustion air.
● Install B-Vent pipe for venting natural gas garage heaters and water heaters.
● Install, maintain, repair, or replace forced air heating and air conditioning systems.
● Install or replace duct systems in new construction or remodeled buildings.

Join pipes to the equipment refrigerant source to form a complete circuit.
● Lay out and connect low-voltage electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram.
● Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers.

Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures.● Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
● High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
● Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation to and from work.
● Solid understanding of Mechanical Codes and Requirements.
● Requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching from the floor level up to 10 feet.

Safely and effectively perform maintenance work and perform duties in all weather conditions; ability to bend, squat, crawl, and twist as position requires; perform skilled mechanical maintenance duties in the inspection, repair, installation, and alteration of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; diagnose defects and install, repair and maintain various trade items to include heating, ventilating, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and air conditioning; work from heights including ladders, scaffolds, and lifts; use tools; read and follow instructions; communicate clearly and concisely; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; interpret policies and procedures; interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations.
