Position Summary:
The HVAC Installation Helper will assist our experienced installation technicians with the installation, replacement, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in both residential properties. This entry-level role is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the HVAC industry, providing the opportunity to learn valuable skills and gain hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist HVAC installers with the delivery and installation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
•Unload and transport equipment, materials, and tools to job sites.
•Prepare the job site, ensuring safety and organization of tools and materials.
•Cut, fit, and assemble ductwork, piping, and other HVAC components under the guidance of senior installers.
•Install and connect system components such as thermostats, air handlers, condensers, and refrigerant lines.
•Assist with system start-ups, test operations, and troubleshoot basic issues as needed.
•Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
•Provide excellent customer service by communicating respectfully with clients and maintaining professionalism on the job.
•Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, your team, and customers.
•Assist with paperwork and documentation related to installations (e.g., work orders, time tracking, etc.).
•Participate in training sessions and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or vocational training in HVAC is a plus.
•Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction methods.
•Strong willingness to learn and grow in the HVAC field.
•Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs or more).
•Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors, etc.).
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred).
•Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
•Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours when needed.
•Previous experience in construction or HVAC is a plus, but not required.
