HR Specialist I (Bilingual - Korean)

# SUMMARY

The Human Resources Specialist works closely with the HR Supervisor and is accountable for components of HR including expat payroll and support, employee profile creation, HRIS data management, HR reporting, and all other HR functional disciplines. Due to expat payroll support, the ideal candidate must speak Korean and English with strong proficiency.

# RESPONSIBILITIES

- Communicate collaboratively with leadership to influence, develop, implement, and manage policies, program, and services.

- Effectively interface with all levels of the organization to coordinate and oversee all HR related activities.

- Analyze situations, identify, and forecast pertinent problems. Evaluate realistic options to recommend/implement appropriate course of action.

- Prepare advanced reports using Excel and/or similar software. (i.e., payroll reconciliation, monthly labor costs, monthly headcount, quarterly commissions, audits documentation)

- Maintain employee files and HR filing system.

- Manage data integrity within the HRIS system (i.e., company-level and employee-level organizational changes, system function).

- Collaborate in the monthly payroll process for salary and hourly expats.

- Support expat employees on various HR matters (i.e., benefit enrollment, employee account management, vacation accrual management).

- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

- Create and send reminders and communications to employees on various HR matters.

- Maintain strict confidentiality of client, company, and personnel information.

- Keep up to date with employment laws and best practices, and communicate these to management regularly.

- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.

- Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management.

# REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field in business administration

- 1+ years of relevant human resources experience.

- Experience with Expatriate payroll and HRIS management.

- Knowledge of HR operations and administration.

- Advanced proficiency using and reporting using software including ADP (or other payroll), HRIS systems, and MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Power Point.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player.

- Fluent in both verbal and written in Korean and English.
