As a Human Resources Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner to leadership and support the continued growth and success of our organization. This role focuses on aligning HR strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
The Human Resources Manager will work closely with the Plant Manager and senior leadership to provide HR guidance across all functional areas, ensuring that both corporate and site-level needs are met with consistency, compliance, and strategic insight. This position will handling our Lubbock, TX and Clovis, NM branches.
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with the Plant Manager to support day-to-day workforce matters, provide coaching on personnel-related decisions, and assist in managing team dynamics and employee performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals, workforce planning, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance concerns, ensuring issues are addressed fairly, professionally, and in compliance with applicable laws.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence administration, and open enrollment coordination.
- Oversee employee time and attendance tracking to ensure accuracy, timely approvals, and compliance with company policies and labor laws.
- Work closely with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of wages, including reviewing timesheets, deductions, and leave balances.
- Lead talent development initiatives, including succession planning, employee engagement, and performance feedback processes.
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that supports employee satisfaction, development, and retention.
- Oversee the administration of employee leaves of absence and workers’ compensation claims, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal procedures while supporting employees throughout the process.
- Ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulations and reflect current best practices in human resources management.
- Collaborate with department leaders to assess staffing needs and support recruitment strategies that attract qualified, mission-aligned candidates.
- Maintain oversight of HR functions at assigned regional branches to ensure consistent policy application and operational alignment.
- Serve as a trusted resource to managers and employees, offering clear, professional advise on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices to ensure a modern and effective HR function.
- Support organizational development and management initiatives as needed.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a human resources leadership or business partner role.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day HR operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Associate degree acceptable); equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Willingness and ability to travel to branch locations as needed.

- Experience with HRIS and talent management platforms, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
