Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee our initiatives aimed at enhancing community well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in crisis management, social work, and workforce development. This role requires a compassionate leader who can effectively manage programs that support individuals facing various challenges, including homelessness, addiction and behavioral health issues.
Responsibilities
•Develop, implement, and evaluate programs that address community needs related to behavioral health and workforce development.
•Coordinate with various stakeholders, including local agencies, service providers, and community organizations to promote program objectives.
•Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage participants and facilitate their progress toward personal goals.
•Provide crisis management support to individuals in need, ensuring timely intervention and appropriate resources are available.
•Oversee case management processes for participants, including those involved in Section 8 housing programs.
•Monitor program outcomes and prepare reports for stakeholders to demonstrate effectiveness and areas for improvement.
•Facilitate training sessions for staff on addiction counseling techniques and best practices in social work.
•Advocate for participants' needs within the community and assist them in accessing necessary services.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
•Proven experience in program management or a similar role within the social services sector.
•Strong understanding of crisis management principles and practices.
•Familiarity with workforce development strategies and Section 8 housing programs is highly desirable.
•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
•Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and maintain a nonjudgmental approach.
•Knowledge of counseling techniques and behavioral health issues is essential.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
