Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Haul Truck Driver to transport oversize and overweight equipment to various job sites. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery while maintaining high safety and performance standards. This position requires a Class A CDL and heavy haul experience. This role is primarily based in Dickinson, ND.
Primary Responsibilities
•Confidently transport oversize and overweight loads
•Adapt and work effectively in adverse weather conditions
•Be available for overnight travel
•Adhere to all company and DOT safety policies
•Maintain accurate logbooks and timecards
•Understand local and state oversize rules and regulations
•Handle permitting for oversize and overweight loads
•Operate any assigned vehicle as needed
•Ensure timely and accurate deliveries
•Secure and strap loads effectively
•Maintain, service, and clean transportation equipment
•Operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading tasks
•Communicate effectively with team members and clients
•Follow written and verbal instructions
•Read maps and navigate routes efficiently
•Dependably meet attendance requirements
•Collaborate effectively with other team members
•Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
•At least 21 years of age
•Class A CDL with all endorsements, including HazMat and tanker
•A minimum of 3 years' experience
•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
•Mechanical skills for basic equipment maintenance
•Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
•Past driving record and current MVR required
•Basic computer skills, including email, smartphones, and Excel
•Overnight travel is required
