POSITION SCOPE
We are seeking an experienced
Heavy Haul Truck Driver
responsible for transporting oversized and overweight equipment to various job sites. This role not only exposes drivers to diverse situations and equipment but also requires them to maintain their assigned vehicles diligently. The position necessitates a Class A CDL and heavy haul experience.
Primary Duties•Effectively transport oversize/overweight loads with confidence.
•Adapt to and work in adverse weather conditions.
•Be available for overnight travel.
•Adhere strictly to all company and DOT safety policies.
•Maintain accurate logbooks and timecards.
•Possess knowledge of local and state oversize transportation rules and regulations.
•Handle permitting for oversized and overweight loads.
•Operate any assigned vehicle as needed.
•Ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
•Physically secure and strap loads.
•Maintain and service transportation equipment, keeping it clean.
•Operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading tasks.
•Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
•Follow both written and verbal directions proficiently.
•Read maps accurately for efficient navigation.
•Demonstrate reliability and consistency in adherence to the attendance schedule.
•Collaborate well with team members on various tasks.
•Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
•Minimum age of 21 years.
•Possession of a Class A CDL with all required endorsements, including HazMat and tanker.
•A minimum of 3 years of relevant driving experience is required.
•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
•Mechanical skills for basic maintenance of equipment.
•Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
•Provide a current driving record and MVR.
•Basic computer skills (including email, smartphone, and Excel).
•Willingness to travel overnight is essential.
