Heavy Equipment Technician

High Torq Heavy Equipment Service Ltd.

Is seeking an experienced, Journeyman heavy equipment technician to join our company.

This is a shop position with occasional field work.

Must have own tools for shop. Service truck is tooled.

The shift for this position is Monday to Friday, weekends as needed. 10 - 12 hour shift per day -

Work located in the Edmonton and surrounding area. Occasional out of town work may be required. Hotels and LOA provided when out of town.

The successful candidate must be proficient in maintaining and repairing and wide range of on and off road equipment.

Technician responsibilities will include;

- Field service repair

- Technical diagnostics

- Proficient with CAT SIS & ET, service advisor, my komatsu, cummins insite ect

- Component replacement and rebuilds

- Welding & fabrication

- Inspection reports

- Air conditioning repairs

- Hydraulic troubleshooting

- Engine & powertrain diagnostics

These responsibilities will also include maintaining a fully tooled service truck.

Required Qualifications are

- Journeyman Red seal HET certification or an Alberta provincial HET certification with 3 years of post ticket experience

- A valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract

- The ability to work alone in a field setting or as a part of a team

- The ability to work through troubleshooting charts and read electrical and hydraulic schematics

- The experience that's needed to analyze problems and come up with safe, effective solutions

- H2s alive

- CSTS

- Standard first aid

- Ground disturbance level 1

- Whimis 2015 & TDG

Job Type: Full-time

Wage: $45.00-$55.00 per hour - based on experience

This position is available as an employee position, or a contractor role. Contractor rate $65/hr
