Heavy Equipment Operator - Night Shift

Martin Marietta is currently looking to bring in a Heavy Equipment Operator at our Durham mine. This position also works with the night shift maintenance crew is about 80% maintenance and 20% in equipment. Under immediate direction of supervisor, the Equipment Operator would be responsible for operating plant mobile heavy equipment to include haul truck, motor grader, water truck, etc. to bring raw materials from pit to plant in a safe and efficient manner at maximum loading capacity. This position will be working the night shift with operating hours of 8PM-6AM.

Essential Functions

Minimum Education and Experience

Preferred Education and Experience* 1 year experience operating heavy mobile equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working Conditions

The job will require operating large equipment which is typically air conditioned. There will be times when outside assignments that may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
