Founders Metals Inc., a growing leader in the gold exploration sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic

to join our operations in Suriname. This is a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) contractor position on a 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, offering an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Position Overview

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of a fleet of heavy mining equipment. The successful candidate will bring extensive technical expertise, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a remote mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on

CAT excavators and bulldozers

, as well as

Komatsu

and

Terex haul trucks

.

- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to ensure maximum equipment availability.

- Perform welding and fabrication work to support equipment repair and modification.

- Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

- Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum of

15 years of experience

as a heavy equipment mechanic.

- Extensive hands-on experience with CAT, Komatsu, and Terex equipment.

- Proven expertise in diagnostics, welding, and fabrication.

- Mining industry experience is a strong asset.

- Ability to adapt and perform in a remote, dynamic work environment.

- Spanish and Portuguese language skills are considered an asset.
