Heavy Equipment Mechanic (1+ yrs exp req)

We are currently in need of a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our Kansas City region. Being a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with us will involve inspecting, diagnosing problems, and servicing the company's equipment and vehicles. Work will be primarily focused on the maintenance of our fleet of surface rock drills, but it will also include work on our fleet of heavy trucks and pickup trucks. Although helpful, no experience is needed with the specific equipment we run.

This position will primarily involve working on our equipment at job sites, some work will occur at our shop in Pleasant Hill, MO. You must be open to travelling to our jobsites. Overnight stay is possible.

Pay starts from $22/hr, but it is dependent on experience level.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnosing and servicing hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.

- Routinely inspecting equipment and vehicles for problems and compliance.

- Fabricating parts with welding equipment.

- Operating heavy equipment for testing purposes.

- Maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

- Communicating with dealers and service departments.

Requirements:

- MSHA Part 48 Training (offered in-house)

- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Training (offered in-house)

- Must be open to overnight travel

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
