Heavy Equipment Lube Technician

RES Coal LLC is looking for a full-time heavy equipment lube technician. This position will involve work in a field setting at our active surface mines, starting every day from our preparation plant in Clearfield, and occasionally working at our truck shop in Clearfield. Our operations are currently located in Clearfield, Cambria, Centre, Blair, and Armstrong County.

Job Description:

The heavy equipment lube technician will work out of their company lube truck working in the field doing planned oil changes on our major equipment with Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 services. As field mechanics do major component changes, lube technicians will be called in to drain/fill component compartments and to assist mechanics as needed. May be asked to steam equipment and/or fill in around the mine sites and coal preparation plant as needed.

The lube technician will be responsible for filling out oil sample bottles, maintaining a filter inventory, and necessary record keeping.

Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

Work is performed in a mine or plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms

May be required to work extended shifts or weekends

Company provided personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
