Company/Position Overview:
Tex-Mex is located in Hobbs, NM and provides variety of oilfield services for the purpose of workover or completion operations. Tex-Mex offers a wide range of support services including, hot oilers, dump truck haulers, sandblast, and coating, frac tank haulers, vac truck haulers, kill trucks, and trash trailers. Tex-Mex is managed by seasoned industry veterans and services blue-chip customers in the Permian Basin and New Mexico with a substantial asset base, strong safety culture and industry-leading operating procedures. Tex-Mex has partnered with Nichols Oil Tools and American Well Services to provide a full suite of completions and workover solutions to customers throughout the Permian Basin and New Mexico.
Responsibilities:
Heavy Equipment Operator drives or controls construction equipment, including bulldozers, forklift, motor grader, front end loader, excavator, and backhoe. They use this equipment to help with the construction of well pads, reserve pits, roads, cellar installs, environmental remediation and some labor work as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures
•Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environment performance
•Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
•Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
•Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
•Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
•Comply with all DOT safety rules and regulations.
•Ability to work extended hours, and weekends as required
•Attend monthly safety meetings.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Valid Class A CDL Preferred
•Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements, including, but not limited to pre-employment drug screen and MVR review.
•Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the Untied States, as required by law
•Maintain a valid U.S. Driver’s License
•Continuation of acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
•Continuation of participation in random drug testing policy
Preferred Experience:
•Minimum of 1 years Motor Grader experience preferred
•Minimum of 1 years Bulldozer experience preferred
•Minimum of 1 years Front End Loader experience preferred
•Minimum of 1 years Excavator experience preferred
•Minimum of 1 years Backhoe experience preferred
•Able to set and establish finish grade/blue top
•Able to communicate well with others on site
•Knowledge of all aspects of motor-grader work
•Knowledge of building oil and gas locations/roads/reserve pits
•Knowledge of cleaning spills
•Safe digging practices-deep buries.
•Knowledge of digging flow lines
Physical Conditions:
•Able to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach overhead with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
•Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more
•Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold
•Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE
