Job Description
The Graphic Designer develops, maintains and provides tools, materials and support relating to marketing activities and corporate communications on a global scale for all Redpath operations. The Graphic Designer actively partakes in training, mentoring and overseeing the work of the department’s interns and provides administrative support to the department.
This is an 18-month contract position
Candidates are asked to present selected portfolio pieces, which will play a significant role in the overall selection process.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, execute and communicate - internally and externally - corporate brand standards, stationery, signage, promotional items, trade shows & events, apparel, fleet, etc.
- Create and prepare advertising and other graphic material for print, electronic, and other formats for local, regional, domestic and international platforms and media outlets.
- Design, production, coordination and maintenance of marketing and information material for internal and external communications (pamphlets, brochures, signage, etc.).
- Prepare brand-compliant presentations.
- Maintain inventory of photographs and video footage, and coordinate production of new such material for marketing purposes, as needed.
- Assist with the maintenance of global website.
- Develop content for and assist with maintenance of corporate social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube.
- Completes duties with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Education: Required: Post-secondary diploma in Graphic Design/Visual Communications.
Preferred: RGD Designation, Multi-media, Web Development, Communications.
Work Experience Required: 3 – 5 years of experience working as a graphic designer.
