Rogers Group Inc. is currently seeking General Laborers with experience in construction for the Huntsville, AL / North Alabama operations area, Alabama SMA reporting to the Area Construction Manager & Superintendent. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.


Job Details

Wages start at $22.00hr, starting wage based on experience.
Fulltime/Permanent
Day Shift ($3 Night Shift Premium for all night shift work)
Weekend work may be required
Overtime available along with extensive medical and retirement benefits


Job Responsibilities

Set grade stakes at the direction of the Grading Foreman
Operate Heavy Equipment
Properly mark grade stakes
Record reference points at the direction of the Grading Foreman
Monitor conformance to stake references
Monitor grading operations in the absence of the Grading Foreman
Uses sledgehammer to drive pins
Uses pick and shovel to dig, hooks up trailers
Fastens attachments to equipment
Assists other materials, mixes mortar mix, bolts, nails, and aligns, and blocks up under forms, measures distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line
Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Must be dedicated to always working safely.
Self-motivated individuals must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision.
Able to perform a variety of duties, some of which may include site clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment, and other duties as assigned.
Ability to learn quickly.
Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.

35-hour Weather Guarantee after 30 days of employment, must be available to work 6 days during the seven-day work period. Hours guaranteed, up to 35 hours (example: worked 20hrs, Actual Pay 35hrs; worked 38hrs, Actual Pay 38hrs). Weather pay is accrued on weekly accumulation, not hours per day. Holiday pay counts toward the 35-hour guarantee.
