About This Job

Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. designs and fabricates high quality Pressure Vessels and Heat Transfer Equipment for the power generation and process industries worldwide. The Global Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for evaluating vendor proposals, creating a bid tab analysis and approval for all assigned proposals and projects. The Global Sourcing Specialist will expedite responses from the suppliers and oversee a historical database of pricing information for assigned commodities and products. Essential Responsibilities: • Development and execution of assigned Global Sourcing proposal RFQs.

Oversee the proposal databases which includes the fabricator proposal status, performance history, and historical pricing data of assigned commodities and products.

•

Assist in managing the Global Sourcing proposal process flow for assigned proposals and attend regular weekly meetings.

•

Provide backup for coordinating internal company players to develop the RFQ packages which are sent to the different suppliers.

•

Develop a thorough understanding of the market and our customers including TEi’s position in the market place.

•

Execution of POs of assigned commodities including subcontract fabrication, tubes, auxiliary equipment, etc.

Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: • Bachelor’s degree (preferred on Engineering) from an accredited university is preferred. Will consider an individual with minimum 3 years’ manufacturing experience in a pressure part manufacturing shop.

Minimum two (2) years global sourcing or procurement experience in power and/or petrochemical related industry.

•

General knowledge of feedwater heater, condenser, heat exchanger product lines.

•

Be able to read engineering design drawings.

•

Good negotiation skills, detail oriented and ability to interact with all disciplines and levels of the Company.

•

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.

•

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize the deadlines.

•

Experience with MS Office
