Geophysics & Petroleum Engineer

Borehole Seismic LLC is seeking Geophysical & Petroleum Engineer who can assist in processing and interpreting microseismic data for subsurface characterization and monitoring. Applicant will assist and collaborate with a technical geophysical team in processing and interpreting microseismic data.

In this position the successful candidate will perform:

- First arrivals times of p and s-waves identification, manual or from automatic event detection

- Event location and Source mechanism inversion

- Create reports for clients

- Model Acquisition Geometry

- Communicate with field engineers to follow hydraulic fracturing operations in real-time and ensure proper data acquisition.

- Process recorded data to produce MS event locations in a commercial time frame.

- Perform (QA/QC) of MS event locations, their attributes, and P & S (compressional and shear) wave on-set time picks.

- To develop and to maintain a complete understanding of all the commercial product/services, including: Hydraulic fracturing operations; Wireline acquisition operations; Data processing and interpretation

Programing knowledge is a plus, Python, C, C++ and Matlab.
