Generator Technician - Entry Level

Generator Source has current openings for experienced Field Service Technicians with experience working on Commercial Generators, ATS'. Great earnings potential ranging from ($24.13/Hr to $28.84/Hr).

Location: Brighton, CO.

Pay Dependent on Experience.

Jon Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED; technical school certification in diesel technology, electrical systems, or related field preferred but not requried.

- Basic mechanical knowledge and abilities (generator experience a plus).

- Basic knowledge of engine maintenance, hand tools, and safety procedures.

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and travel to job sites as needed.

- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.

Preferred Attributes:

- Exposure to generator brands such as Generac, Cummins, Kohler, or Caterpillar.

- Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, multimeter use, and small engine diagnostics.

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn in a hands-on environment.

- Willingness to work after-hours or on-call shifts as required.

Responsibilities:

- Repair and troubleshoot engines such as Cat, Cummins, Kohler, Generac, Detroit Diesel, and MTU.

- Troubleshoot, repair and program ATS'.

- Inspect, repair, service and start-ups, and ability to perform load bank tests.

- Deliver exceptional customer service.

- Thorough and timely completion of job documentation.

- Provide on call services as required.

- Ability to participate in on-call rotation.

Physical Activity:

- May involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-75 pounds).

- Frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is required to use hands, to touch, handle or grasp, reach with hands and arms.

- Combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

- Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, and Protective Footwear as required.

- May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.
