Generator and Power Systems is seeking a skilled, reliable, and self-motivated Generator Technician to join our growing team. This position involves commissioning new generator equipment and performing maintenance and repairs on existing generator systems across the entire State of Hawaii. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
The Generator Technician works under the direct supervision of the Service Manager and will be based out of our Honolulu, Oahu office, with travel required to neighbor islands as needed.

- Commissioning and start-up of new generator systems, including load testing and system verification.
- Performing routine and emergency maintenance on diesel and gas-powered generators.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues in generator systems.
- Completing detailed service reports and communicating findings to the office and customers.
- Coordinating with the office team for parts ordering, scheduling, and job tracking.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working condition.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Traveling inter-island as needed to support service operations statewide.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or trade school preferred.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in generator maintenance, repair, or related mechanical/electrical field.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Willingness to travel inter-island and work occasional overtime or emergency shifts.
